Founder of Loop HR
Ian’s mission is to simplify salon management and make careers in hair and beauty more attractive, rewarding, and sustainable for everyone.
His journey began as a hairdresser, owning his first salon at just 22. He broadened his experience overseas, managing salons while studying business, before returning to the UK in 2001 to acquire a London salon. His dedication to the industry led to an active role in shaping it—eventually becoming President of the National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF).
Drawing on decades of hands-on experience, Ian founded Loop HR to solve the everyday challenges faced by salon managers. Today, he works alongside leading point-of-sale providers and partners with salon owners and managers to implement a framework that supports high-performing teams and long-term success.

We didn’t follow a conventional path. Loop HR was founded in 2018 to give salon managers the tools, structure, and confidence to simplify their daily operations - freeing up time to grow their business and support their team.
Like all great ideas, Loop HR has evolved. With advances in technology and a deeper understanding of people management, we’ve built a platform that supports salons of all types and sizes.
